Our Mission

Gold has been the backbone of Pakistani household savings, weddings and festivals for generations. Yet many buyers still walk into showrooms without a clear reference for the day's rate, an understanding of purity marks, or a way to compare making charges between neighbourhoods.

GoldPrice Pakistan was built to close that gap. We publish live city-level gold rates sourced from Sarafa.pk - Sarafa city-level indicative reference rates - and pair them with standard purity derivation, making-charge and tax context, and on-the-ground market knowledge compiled for each of the eight cities we cover.

Where Our Numbers Come From

  • Sarafa.pk city rates - live 24K per-tola reference rates for each major city. These are indicative benchmarks, not retail counter prices.
  • International spot context - local rates may reflect global spot gold (COMEX / LBMA in USD per troy ounce) and can be influenced by the USD/PKR exchange rate, import duty and local margins at the city level.
  • Standard purity derivation - 22K = (22/24), 21K = (21/24) and 18K = (18/24) of the 24K rate, with per-gram and per-10-gram values derived using 1 tola = 11.6638038 grams.
  • Local market research - each city page carries a custom buying guide listing the major bullion bazaars, bridal belts, purity notes and peak buying windows relevant to that city.

Retail counter prices at showrooms may differ from the reference rates on this page because of local making charges, applicable government taxes and duties, stone value for studded jewellery, seasonal premiums and showroom policy. Always ask for a fully itemised invoice that lists metal weight, purity, making charges and taxes separately, and verify the karat/fineness mark or karat stamp before paying.
