All gold rates published on GoldPrice Pakistan are Sarafa indicative reference rates and/or mathematical purity ratios derived from them (22K = 22/24 of 24K, 21K = 21/24 of 24K, 18K = 18/24 of 24K), with per-gram and per-10-gram values derived using 1 tola = 11.6638038 grams. They represent an indicative market benchmark and are not live executable quotes, showroom counter prices or offers to buy or sell any instrument.
Retail jewellers may apply their own making charges (which vary by design and area), applicable government taxes and duties on metal and making charges, stone value on studded items and - during peak wedding and Eid seasons - a seasonal premium. Always compare at least two or three local jewellers and always ask for a fully itemised invoice that lists metal weight, purity, making charges, stone cost and taxes on separate lines.

3. Accuracy, Timeliness and Data Sources
- Rates are primarily sourced from Sarafa.pk live city-level 24K per-tola rates, from which 22K / 21K / 18K and per-gram / per-10-gram values are derived using standard purity and tola-to-gram conversion.
- We refresh our pages as often as technically practical but do not guarantee a specific refresh cadence or that a given number on the page is the exact most-recent market print.
- Occasional data-provider delays, API outages or manual data-entry errors can create transient discrepancies. We correct any reported error as quickly as possible but accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of a stale or incorrect number.
- City-specific retail differences (older bazaar vs. branded showroom, wholesale lane vs. shopping mall, etc.) are qualitative guidance only; we do not quote an actual local retail rate for any specific shop, chain or showroom.
4. Taxes, Import Duty, Customs & Making Charges
Government sales tax, import duty and customs levies on gold and jewellery vary by product and can change with federal budget announcements and official notifications. Any duty or tax percentages cited in our city guides represent general context at the time of writing and are not a substitute for current official Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) guidance. Our published reference rates exclude taxes and making charges; confirm the exact breakdown with your jeweller.
Making charges vary enormously by design (machine-made vs. handmade), showroom and city. Never rely on a single "all-in per-gram" price without first seeing the itemised invoice.
5. Purity, Hallmarking & Jewellery Purchase
We recommend every purchase of 18K, 21K, 22K or 24K jewellery or coins carry a clear purity or karat mark (such as 24K / 22K / 21K / 18K, or 999 / 916 / 875 / 750) and be accompanied by an invoice that states the purity and net weight of gold. Ask the jeweller to confirm purity independently before paying, especially for high-value or studded pieces.
